TEHRAH: Iran successfully deployed the domestically engineered research satellite, Chamran-1, into orbit.
The satellite was launched abroad a rocket developed within the country as well, aiming at evaluating hardware and software systems at elevated altitudes.

The launch follows Iran’s earlier deployment of three satellites in January.
The United States (US) criticised Iran’s satellite launches. Deeming them violations of United Nations Security Council resolutions. US and its western allies expressed ‘concerns’ that Iran’s satellite programme could facilitate advancements in its ballistic missile capabilities.

In light of the successful launch, the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kanaani conveyed his happiness. He stated that nations imposing what he described as “unreasonable” and “illogical restrictions” have received a definitive response to their actions.
Kanaani said that Iran was a ‘rational’, ‘robust’, and constructive nation. He urged ‘those’ imposing sanctions on his country to reassess their behaviour and statements.
