ISLAMABAD: A budget of Rs. 1.2 million has been approved for dealing with the rat problem at the Parliament House, a national daily reported on Monday.
The National Assembly Secretariat and the Senate Secretariat, under the direction of the Home Ministry, have instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to address the issue.

To effectively tackle the infestation, it has been recommended that private companies be hired for the task.
In response, the CDA has decided to solicit offers from private firms specialising in pest control to carry out the rat extermination efforts within the Parliament House premises.
