The White House released photos of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir’s visit and meeting with US President Donald Trump.
The photos show the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal interacting with President Trump as well as other officials.



In a group photo, President Trump can also be seen giving his signature ‘thumbs up’ gesture.


The US President invited the two personalities to the Oval Office on Friday, where they met for about an hour and 20 minutes.


US Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were also present during this time.




Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir also presented the US President with a gift of precious minerals.


MEETING DETAILS
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s House, the meeting between Shahbaz Sharif and Donald Trump took place in a cordial atmosphere, in which Pakistan acknowledged President Trump’s efforts for peace and called him a ‘man of peace’.
According to the statement, the Prime Minister invited American companies to invest in Pakistan’s agricultural, mineral and energy sectors.

The meeting discussed the regional situation and cooperation in counter-terrorism, while Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked the US President for recognising Pakistan’s role in eliminating terrorism.
In addition, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif asked President Trump to play a role in reducing tensions in the Middle East, especially in Palestine, and to bring about a ceasefire.
