WEB DESK: Several celebrities entertained university students and encouraged them to remain patient while waiting to vote, as many face hours-long lines at polling locations across the United States (US).
Paul Rudd of Marvel’s Ant-Man fame made an unexpected visit to a university in Pennsylvania on the election day. He was observed distributing water to students in an effort to reduce long waits for students eager to cast their votes.

When asked about his motivation for being there, Rudd responded “I just wanted to give people water. They wait in line for a long time and it’s a wonderful thing”.
A fan-favourite, the forever-youthful celebrity’s actions were warmly welcomed on social media, with many netizens praising his gesture.
Besides Rudd, other celebrities also participated in similar fashion by connecting with students through FaceTime. Jennifer Garner reached out to students in Villanova, while Josh Gad spoke to those at the Lehigh University.
Similarly, Mark Cuban engaged with students at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, while former Disney star Demi Lovato connected with voters at the University of Nevada Las Vegas,

The Harris campaign reported long lines at the locations, as well at eight university campuses in Wisconsin, where students faced wait time of one to two hours.
