WEB DESK: A race car shop in Florida is racing against time, but this time, it’s not to get ready for a race. Instead, they’re trying to find their stolen semi-trailer before it disappears for good.

The trailer was taken earlier this week and was carrying $1.5 million worth of Porsche cars and equipment. The police have already found the truck that was pulling the trailer, but the trailer itself is still missing.

The theft happened early Sunday morning, around 3 AM, in Pompano Beach, Florida, which is just north of Miami. Two people drove into the parking lot of a company called Rennsport-One, and within 20 minutes, they drove away with the truck and trailer.

The company had put a GPS tracker on the truck, but the last time it sent a signal was a few hours later in southwest Miami. The police later found the truck about 70 miles away from the shop, left on someone’s property.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is still searching for the missing trailer. Meanwhile, the owner of the business, Justin Bellinzoni, has hired a private investigator to help find it.

The trailer has four Porsche race cars, parts, and other equipment inside, so the company is now scrambling to find other ways to keep their promises to their customers.
