ISLAMABAD: PM Shehbaz praised US President Donald Trump, saying that he shown “exemplary leadership”, sincerity, and courage in ensuring peace in Gaza.
Addressing at the gathering, PM Shehbaz said “I would say today is one of the greatest days because Gaza peace has been achieved after untiring efforts,” calling it the result of months of relentless diplomacy.
Shehbaz went on to say that Pakistan had earlier nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize for his extraordinary contribution in helping prevent escalation between India and Pakistan, and now once again, he felt deeply honoured to be recognized for efforts that brought stability to South Asia and peace in Gaza.
“Millions of lives have been saved,” Shehbaz said. “From South Asia to the Middle East, our collective struggle has borne fruit, and I salute to Mr president who stood shoulder to shoulder for peace.”
Shehbaz also extended special thanks to regional leaders including President Tayyip Erdoğan, King Abdullah of Jordan, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman for their significant contributions.
“Had it not been for these united efforts,” Sharief remarked, adding “the four-day conflict between India and Pakistan could have turned catastrophic. The same applies to the situation in Gaza, where peace has prevailed through tireless diplomacy and goodwill.”
Similarly, US Trump also expressed deep gratitude to Shehbaz and the Field Marshal General Asim Munir for their instrumental role in advancing peace efforts across the region.
