ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi have extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of the People’s Republic of China on 76th National Day. Both leaders celebrated the enduring and strategic friendship between Pakistan and China in their tributes.

In his message, President Zardari praised the “time-tested and ever-growing” friendship between the two nations, describing it as a cornerstone of regional peace and cooperation. “The people of Pakistan share in China’s joy on this momentous occasion,” he said, highlighting the deep bond between the two countries.
President Zardari also lauded the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping, attributing China’s remarkable development, unity, and innovation to his guidance. “China’s glorious journey is a matter of pride not only for the Chinese people but also for its friends around the world,” he added.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to shared prosperity and global cooperation, noting that his recent visits to China have further strengthened bilateral ties, particularly in strategic, security, trade, and infrastructure domains. “Strong people-to-people ties, underpinned by cooperation in science, education, technology, and culture, are the foundation of our long-lasting partnership,” the President said.
Concluding his message, President Zardari expressed his best wishes for the continued prosperity of the Chinese people and President Xi’s leadership, adding, “Long live Pakistan-China friendship.”
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also issued a congratulatory message, paying tribute to the Chinese leadership, Communist Party, and the people of China. “In a short period, China has realized the dream of economic stability and sustainable development,” he said.
Minister Naqvi praised China’s achievements in the economic, social, and military sectors, calling them a source of strength and stability for the entire region. He reiterated that the Pakistan-China relationship is built on a foundation of historic ties and strategic trust.
“Projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) are a shining example of this extraordinary partnership,” Naqvi noted. “From Gwadar to Khunjerab, China has played a pivotal role in strengthening Pakistan’s economic foundations.”

He commended China’s unwavering support to Pakistan during times of crisis and reiterated that the Pak-China strategic partnership is a permanent and central pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
“With the soaring peaks of the Himalayas, the depths of the sea, and the rocky paths of the Karakoram bearing witness to our eternal friendship, we salute the Chinese nation’s dedication, hard work, and innovation on this National Day,” Naqvi said.
