Al-Safiyah Museum in Madina opens for public – HUM News


MADINA: The Al-Safiyah Museum and Park, located adjacent to the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad’s (Peace Be Upon Him) Mosque in Madina, opened its doors to visitors on Thursday.

Al Safiyyah Museum and Park  covers an area of 4,400 square meters and is divided into several sections including: a museum showcasing the Story of Creation, a public garden, waterways as well as shops and restaurants.

The project aims to enhance the cultural experience of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to promote the heritage of Madinah and restore Islamic sites boosting religious tourism to The Holy Cities.

Story of Creation Museum, which offers an integrated presentation on the story of creation from the beginning of the universe using audiovisual technologies, through the stories of the prophets and messengers. The museum relies on the narrative cognition that visitors experience inside the museum.

The Al-Safiyah museum presents Islamic events, showcasing key moments from the beginning of the universe to the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in immersive 3D visuals.

Spanning over 4,500 square meters, the museum offers an engaging experience for visitors.

The park also houses ancient artifacts and old manuscripts of the Holy Quran, providing a glimpse into the historical and religious heritage.

The initiative aims to enhance the educational and spiritual experience of the visitors using modern technology.
