Tecno Spark Slim goes official with ultra-thin body, 3D AMOLED screen – HUM News

ISLAMABAD: Tecno has listed the Spark Slim on its website, a week after unveiling the ultra-thin handset at IFA Berlin 2025.

The listing clears up some of the specifications that were left unconfirmed during the launch event, though pricing and release dates remain under wraps.

Slim design, AMOLED display

The Spark Slim lives up to its name with a body measuring just 5.93mm thick, making it one of the thinnest 3D curved smartphones currently on record. Despite its size, Tecno has managed to fit in a 5,160mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging and 10W reverse charging. The company claims a full charge can be achieved in under an hour.

On the front, the phone sports a 6.78-inch 3D AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (1,224×2,720 pixels). The screen offers curved edges, a 144Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness reportedly hitting 4,500 nits, making it a clear upgrade for users who consume a lot of media on the go.

Performance and cameras

The Spark Slim runs Android 15 with HiOS on top and is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G200 chipset. The device is listed with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with the option to expand RAM virtually up to 16GB.

In terms of photography, it houses a 50-megapixel main camera with dual flash support on the back. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie shooter. Tecno has also equipped the device with military-grade shock resistance and IP64 certification for dust and splash protection. Dolby Atmos-backed dual speakers, NFC, IR remote support, and Tecno’s in-house AI assistant Ella round out the features.

Colours, availability and Pakistan price speculation

The phone is currently shown in Cool Black and Slim White colour options on Tecno’s website. However, neither a release timeline nor official pricing has been disclosed.

Some Pakistani websites have floated an expected price of around Rs44,000, but this remains speculative as Tecno has not confirmed any figures. Industry chatter suggests the Spark Slim could arrive in Pakistan within the next two months, though for now, that remains an educated guess.

Part of a slimmer duo

The Spark Slim launched alongside the Pova Slim 5G at IFA 2025. Both models are designed around the idea of ultra-thin builds, with Tecno reworking components like the battery, USB-C port, and vapor chamber to shave down thickness.

While the Spark Slim is focused on 4G users with the Helio G200 chip, the Pova Slim 5G packs the Dimensity 6400 for 5G connectivity.

With its blend of design, display and battery features, the Spark Slim looks set to appeal to buyers who want a lightweight yet capable mid-range smartphone. The missing piece of the puzzle remains its actual price and launch date, which Tecno is expected to reveal in the coming weeks.
