Samsung’s One UI 8 rollout to begin with S25, sooner than expected – HUM News

WEB DESK: Samsung has set the stage for one of the most anticipated software updates of the year. While the company’s latest foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, already come preloaded with One UI 8, millions of Galaxy users are still waiting for their turn.

That wait may soon be over, as Samsung has confirmed that the rollout of the stable One UI 8 update is on track to begin in September 2025.

Update timeline revealed

In an official blog post, the company said the Galaxy S25 series will be the first in line to receive the public build. From there, the rollout will gradually expand to other eligible Galaxy devices.

This step-by-step release is in keeping with Samsung’s tradition of pushing major updates in phases, ensuring stability and ironing out any early glitches before wider distribution.

So far, five beta versions of One UI 8 have been released for the Galaxy S25 lineup. Reports suggest that a sixth beta is on the horizon, sparking speculation that the update’s stable release might face delays. Such concerns were not unfounded, as the appearance of additional beta builds sometimes hints at lingering issues that require extra testing.

September launch still intact

Despite those rumours, Samsung has reiterated its plans, making it clear that the timeline has not shifted. The stable version of One UI 8 remains locked in for September.

This means Galaxy S25 owners could be using the update within weeks, with other flagship and mid-range devices to follow soon after.

For many users, One UI 8 promises more than just cosmetic tweaks. Samsung has teased improvements in performance, streamlined multitasking tools, and a smoother overall experience. The update also places greater focus on personalisation and productivity, two areas where the company has been steadily raising the bar.

With the rollout window now officially confirmed, the wait for Samsung’s latest software refresh is nearly at an end.
