Rockstar Games GTA 6 pricing outlook remains undisclosed ahead of launch – HUM News

WEB DESK: As excitement builds for the release of one of the biggest games in the world, Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto (GTA 6) on May 26, 2026, no official word has been given on the game’s pricing.

Parent company Take-Two Interactive says pricing details will be revealed closer to launch, maintaining a guarded, secretive stance amid industry-wide shifts in AAA game pricing.

In recent years, video games publishers have adjusted prices upward, with many high-profile releases retailing for $70 or above.

Some even approach $80, leading players to criticise and debate the affordability of modern games. Take-Two’s leadership, while acknowledging the current environment, have yet to clarify if GTA 6’s cost will follow suit or adopt a different approach.

The company’s CEO said that the company’s intent was to strike a balance between price and value. He stated that their pricing model has long included variable tiers – such as special and deluxe editions – and that the goal remains to offer a product worthy of its costs.

However, the CEO stopped short of specifying any price points or confirming whether current industry trends will directly influence GTA 6.

Efforts remain focused on polishing and refining GTA 6, with the studio having postponed the original late 2025 launch timeline to the confirmed May 2026 date.

With the launch less than a year away, details around pre-orders, editions and pricing policies will be key to shaping consumer interest and sales forecasts in Rockstar Games’ GTA 6.

For now, the absence of pricing information has left many players frustrated. Updates on the pricing are expected as the release date draws near.
