ISLAMABAD: After months of anticipation and growing frustration among users, Xiaomi has finally rolled out the HyperOS 2.0 update for the Redmi Note 14 and Redmi Note 14 Pro in Pakistan. The update, based on Android 15, arrives more than three months after the company pushed it to its flagship models and even to some older phones like the Redmi Note 13 series.
The delayed release had sparked criticism across Reddit, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook, where users questioned why Xiaomi’s newest mid-range lineup was still running outdated software. Many Note 14 owners expressed confusion and disappointment, particularly as the Note 13 had already been enjoying the revamped experience of HyperOS 2.0.
Now, with the update finally landing, Redmi Note 14 series users are getting access to a significant UI overhaul. HyperOS 2.0 delivers a cleaner, more polished design language, smoother animations, improved transition effects, and a range of customisable new wallpapers. Xiaomi has also made deeper under-the-hood optimisations to boost fluidity and responsiveness across the system.
Early impressions suggest the update brings the Note 14 series much closer to flagship-like performance in day-to-day use. And while there’s been no official comment from Xiaomi about the rollout delay, the staggered release may have been a strategic move to manage server loads, or simply a sign that future major updates could take longer to reach budget and mid-tier devices.
If you haven’t yet received the update notification, head to Settings > About Phone > System Update to check manually. The download size is around 4GB, so it’s best to connect to Wi-Fi before starting the installation.
With HyperOS 2.0 finally here, Redmi Note 14 users in Pakistan can now enjoy the software experience they’ve been waiting for—albeit fashionably late.
