WEB DESK: Oppo’s next flagships are getting a fresh look and a serious spec shake-up. According to a new leak, the upcoming Find X9 and X9 Pro will ditch the big, circular camera humps that have been a staple since the X6 series, replacing them with something more sculpted and subtle.
Think less “giant bullseye” and more “sleek corner-mounted lens cluster.”
The source, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, describes the new design as “a bit like a one-piece cold sculpture.”
It’s a poetic way of saying Oppo might be revisiting the seamless, sculpted rear panel look it tried on the Find X3 Pro, a phone whose camera bump blended into the glass back after a painstaking 40-hour manufacturing process. In other words, expect curves, polish, and a finish that feels expensive.

That styling throwback could also bring back memories of the Find X5 series, ceramic backs, Hasselblad branding, and all.
This time, though, the X9 and X9 Pro are rumoured to pack MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip under the hood and sport super-slim bezels around 6.59- to 6.78-inch displays. Oppo’s apparently aiming for that clean, edge-to-edge look you get on modern iPhones.
One trade-off? The panels may drop from 2K to 1.5K resolution. But in return, Oppo is reportedly stuffing in monster batteries, between 7,000 and 7,500mAh, along with “obvious” camera upgrades that could put them in the same conversation as other top-tier flagships.
Not every X9 variant will get the makeover, though. The leak suggests the redesign is exclusive to the standard and Pro models. The X9 Ultra, if it happens, might stick with the bold, oversized camera housing from its predecessor, the one built for pure photographic muscle.
