WEB DESK: Oppo is gearing up for the global debut of its new Find X9 Series after its initial launch in China. The global launch event is scheduled for October 28 in Barcelona, where the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will officially enter international markets.
While Oppo has not yet announced pricing, reports suggest the flagship Oppo Find X9 Pro could start around Rs250,000 in Pakistan.
A leap in smartphone photography
The highlight of the Find X9 Series lies in its camera system, co-developed with Hasselblad. The top-tier Find X9 Pro comes equipped with a 200MP telephoto lens, part of the new Hasselblad Master Camera System powered by Oppo’s in-house LUMO Image Engine. This collaboration aims to bring DSLR-level clarity to mobile photography, with improved sensor calibration and optical design.
Beyond still images, Oppo is leaning heavily into professional-grade video capabilities. Both phones can shoot 4K footage at 120 frames per second in Dolby Vision, while advanced features like Stage Mode and AI Sound Focus target creators who record concerts or live events. For professional users, the inclusion of LOG recording with ACES support allows more flexibility in post-production editing.
Power and performance
Under the hood, the Find X9 Series runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip, one of the first built on a 3nm process. Oppo claims this ensures faster performance and improved energy efficiency. The Find X9 carries a 7,025mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the Pro variant boasts a larger 7,500mAh cell, both promising up to two days of typical use.
The devices feature Oppo’s latest ColorOS 16, designed to deliver smoother animations and smarter AI experiences. Features such as AI Portrait Glow enhance portrait photography, while expanded connectivity allows seamless pairing with PCs, Macs, and other smart devices.
Refined design with premium finishes
Oppo’s latest flagship series continues its tradition of sleek industrial design. The Find X9 sports a 6.59-inch flat display, while the Pro model stretches to 6.78 inches, both surrounded by ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels.
The handsets come in new matte finishes and colour options, including Titanium Grey, Space Black, Velvet Red, Silk White, and Titanium Charcoal.
Celebrating culture through the lens
Alongside the launch, Oppo is extending its partnership with Discovery Channel for the “Culture in a Shot” campaign, encouraging creators worldwide to capture festivals and traditions through the Find X9’s Hasselblad camera.
With its blend of hardware innovation, camera prowess, and design refinement, the Find X9 Series positions Oppo to challenge the dominance of other high-end Android flagships. Whether it can translate its Chinese market success into global momentum will become clearer after its Barcelona debut.
