Zimbabwe Cricket has revealed its squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against Pakistan at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The series will feature three ODIs on November 24, 26, and 28, followed by three T20Is on December 1, 3, and 5, 2024.
Craig Ervine will captain the ODI team, which combines experienced players like Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, Blessing Muzarabani, and Richard Ngarava with fresh talent. The squad includes three uncapped players: Trevor Gwandu, Tashinga Musekiwa, and Tinotenda Maposa, adding youthful energy and potential.
David Mutendera, Zimbabwe’s Convener of Selectors, emphasized the balanced approach: “This series is a key opportunity for Zimbabwe. The experience of players like Craig, Sikandar, and Sean ensures stability, while young players bring dynamic potential.”
The T20I squad remains unchanged from the team that triumphed at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 sub-regional qualifier in Kenya. Sikandar Raza will lead the team, with the same lineup aiming to maintain its cohesion and confidence. Veterans like Craig Ervine and Sean Williams have been rested for this format to focus on continuity.
Zimbabwe views the series as a valuable test against a strong Pakistani side. Mutendera expressed optimism about the team’s readiness to compete and showcase its capabilities on the global stage.
