Indian Captain Rohit Sharma has become the second-fastest batter to score 11,000 runs in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

Sharma reached the milestone during India’s opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

The 37-year-old achieved this feat in 261 ODI innings, averaging 49.05 with a strike rate of 92.69, bolstered by 32 centuries and 57 half-centuries.

Sharma now trails only Virat Kohli, who reached 11,000 runs in just 222 innings. Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar reached the mark in his 276th ODI innings.
