Naseem Shah, Islamabad United’s pace spearhead, has expressed his enthusiasm for playing alongside Australia’s Riley Meredith and Matthew Short in the upcoming 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Matthew Short, boasting a formidable T20 strike rate of 146.46, was selected by Islamabad United in the platinum category during the PSL 10 Player Draft. Meanwhile, right-arm pacer Riley Meredith, who has claimed 142 wickets in 113 T20 matches at an average of 24.26, was drafted in the supplementary category.

He praised Meredith’s bowling, saying, “Riley’s pace and bounce are something special, and I think he’s going to light up the league. Pakistani fans are passionate about fast bowling, and we love express pace—Riley fits that perfectly.”
On Short, Naseem added, “What can I say? I’m just glad we won’t have to bowl to him [Short]! He has the ability to dismantle any attack in no time.”
