In a first, the opening game and ceremony of the HBL PSL X is scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The star studded ceremony will begin at 7:00pm on Friday, April 11.

For the first time in the tournament’s history, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host the opening match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Defending champions Islamabad United will face off against two-time title winners Lahore Qalandars in a highly anticipated clash, with the first ball set to be bowled at 8:30 PM.

The tenth edition of the PSL will feature six teams competing across four iconic venues: National Bank Stadium in Karachi, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Multan Cricket Stadium, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The grand finale of the tournament will take place at Lahore’s historic Gaddafi Stadium on May 18, bringing the season to a dramatic close.

Before the opening match, fans at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will be treated to a vibrant opening ceremony. The star-studded lineup includes legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen, a cultural performance by Ali Zafar, and a contemporary act by rap duo Young Stunners.

The performers behind the HBL PSL X anthem—Abrar ul Haq, Ali Zafar, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum—will also take the stage. The evening will conclude with a dazzling fireworks display to kick off the tournament in style.

The six-team tournament will consist of 34 matches, running from April 11 to May 18. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 matches, including two Eliminators and the grand final.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on May 13. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five matches.

The event will also feature three double-headers, two of which will take place on Saturdays and one on Labour Day (May 1).
