The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the renaming of two enclosures at Karachi’s National Stadium in tribute to former captains Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan.
The Quaid Enclosure will now be known as the Shahid Afridi Enclosure, while the Majid Khan Enclosure has been renamed after Younis Khan.
In another change, the Zaheer Abbas Enclosure will be renamed the Nazar Mohammad Enclosure. Previously, the Majid Khan and Zaheer Abbas enclosures each had a seating capacity of 1,050.
The PCB also plans to update the Hanif Mohammad and Fazal Mahmood enclosures as part of its ongoing efforts to modernize the stadium. Additionally, two newly constructed VIP enclosures will be introduced to enhance the experience for spectators.
These changes honor the contributions of Pakistan’s cricket legends while improving facilities for fans at the iconic stadium.
