PCB adjusts schedule for two PSL X matches due to heatwave
- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rescheduled two PSL X matches for the Multan Cricket Stadium.
- The Lahore Qalandars vs Quetta Gladiators match will also be held at Gaddafi Stadium, starting at 8 pm.
- The Multan-leg match will take place on the evening of May 11, starting at 8 pm.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Sunday that it has rescheduled two PSL X matches planned for the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The PCB has moved the afternoon game on May 1 (Thursday) between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings from the Multan Cricket Stadium to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The first ball will now be bowled at 3 pm.
As a result, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will now host a doubleheader on May 1, which coincides with the public holiday for Labour Day.
In the evening, Gaddafi Stadium will host the Lahore Qalandars vs Quetta Gladiators match, as originally scheduled, with the match set to begin at 8 pm.
Furthermore, the Multan-leg match originally scheduled for the afternoon of May 10 between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators will now take place on the evening of May 11. The first ball will be bowled at 8 pm at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The PCB decided after holding multiple discussions with all stakeholders, considering operational ease and the recent heatwaves in certain parts of the country.
The PCB announced that it will automatically reimburse the tickets bought online for the May 1 encounter, originally scheduled in Multan, to the accounts used during booking.
“Tickets purchased from express centres will have to be physically refunded from TCS outlets to the fans. The inconvenience caused to fans in this regard is regretted,” it added.
Spectators can now enjoy the doubleheader in Lahore using the same ticket they previously purchased for the evening match. Additionally, fans who have already purchased tickets for the May 10 fixture can use them for the match on May 11.
