Karachi: Pakistan’s national badminton champion Palwasha Bashir has officially announced her marriage, sharing the happy news with her fans and followers on social media. The 37-year-old athlete, known for her accomplished career, tied the knot on August 17.
In a heartfelt post on her Facebook and Instagram accounts, Bashir expressed her gratitude, writing, “Alhamdulillah, I am happy to announce that we are now married.” She prayed for her new life, asking that Allah “keep this bond strong and make it a source of love, mercy, and blessings forever.”
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulations and warm wishes from her supporters.
A native of Karachi, Palwasha Bashir has long been one of Pakistan’s most celebrated athletes. Her rise to prominence began in 2009 when she was crowned the national champion in both the women’s singles and doubles events.
Her success extended to the international stage, where she won a bronze medal at the 2010 South Asian Games and represented her country at the 2014 Asian Games and the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. Throughout her career, she has been coached by Raziuddin Ahmad.
