Pakistan unveil jersey for ICC Champions Trophy 2025


LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially revealed the national team’s jersey for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Friday.

The launch event took place during the grand inauguration of the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. In front of a packed crowd, Pakistan’s 15-member squad showcased the jersey they will wear during the tournament.

The upgraded Gaddafi Stadium will also be a focal point for upcoming matches, hosting key games of the tri-nation ODI series between Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa on February 8 and 10. Additionally, the stadium will be a crucial venue for the Champions Trophy, where it will host at least four matches, including the second semi-final on March 5.

Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel, Tayyab Tahir, Mohammad Rizwan (c & wk), Usman Khan (wk), Faheem Ashraf, Khushdil Shah, Salman Ali Agha (vc), Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy will commence on February 19, with host and defending champion Pakistan taking on New Zealand in the opening match at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium.

Pakistan, who won the 2017 Champions Trophy after defeating India in the final, is placed in Group A alongside India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.

A highly anticipated Pakistan vs. India match is scheduled for February 23 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, while Pakistan will conclude their group-stage campaign against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on February 27.

With the tournament set to take place on home soil, Pakistan aims to defend its title and showcase top-tier cricketing performances.
