SOUTH KOREA: Pakistan has secured a place in the Plate Cup Division final of the ongoing Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship.
In the semifinal match held in South Korea, the Pakistani team faced Japan and emerged victorious with a strong performance, earning a spot in the division’s final.
The Pakistan Girls Netball team defeated Japan by 64 goals against 39.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan will face either Maldives or Chinese Taipei in the Plate Cup Division final, scheduled to be played on Friday.
Earlier, Pakistan continues to make impressive strides in the ongoing Asian Junior Squash Championship, with five players advancing to the semifinals across various age categories.
In the Boys’ Under-19 category, Abdullah Nawaz delivered a commanding performance, defeating Hong Kong’s Wang Wing Kuen in straight sets. Nawaz secured his spot in the semifinals with scores of 11-4, 11-4, and 11-6.
Similarly, in the boys under-15 category, Noman Khan and Ahmed Rayan Khalil performed outstandingly to reach the top four. Noman Khan defeated India’s Hershal Rana 11-6, 11-5, and 11-7, while Ahmed Rayan Khalil beat Malaysia’s Arman Mirza Bin Ashraf 11-7, 11-3, and 11-3.
In the boys under-13 quarter-finals, top seed Sohaib Adnan overcame India’s Abhey Uday Arora with scores of 11-2, 11-8, and 11-2.
In the girls event, Maahnoor Ali advanced to the semi-finals after defeating India’s Anika Klinki 11-6, 11-2, and 11-3. Additionally, in the Girls Under-15 quarter-finals, Sahrish Ali faced defeat against a Malaysian player.
