ISLAMABAD: The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 trophy tour commenced with a grand unveiling at the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad on Saturday.
Following the ceremony, the prestigious silverware was showcased at the iconic Faisal Mosque. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared glimpses of the event, including a photograph of all-rounder Shadab Khan posing with the trophy.
The trophy’s Pakistan tour will continue with visits to Taxila and Khanpur on November 17, Abbottabad on November 18, Murree on November 19, and Nathiagali on November 20. The Pakistan leg will conclude in Karachi on November 25.
Legendary fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar will accompany the trophy during its journey across the country.
“After Islamabad, the tour will head to iconic cities and venues in Pakistan such as Karachi, Abbottabad, and Taxila before leaving the land of defending champions to embark on an extensive international tour, where it will continue to showcase the vibrant cultures evident across competing nations,” ICC said in a statement.
Following its stay in Pakistan, the trophy will begin its international journey on November 26, starting in Afghanistan. It will visit all participating nations, spending time in India from January 15 to 26, before returning to Pakistan, the host country, for the tournament.
