The ICC, Coca-Cola, and waste management authorities have launched the ‘Maidaan Saaf’ campaign to keep stadiums clean during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Cleaning teams will clear venues within 60 minutes after matches. Coca-Cola will install recycling bins at all stadiums, allowing fans to separate waste for proper disposal.
The collected waste will be sent for recycling.
“This event is a chance to promote sustainable practices and responsible waste management,” said Babar Sahib Din, CEO of Lahore Waste Management Company.
A public awareness campaign will encourage fans to dispose of waste responsibly.
“Coca-Cola is committed to bringing joy to Pakistan, first through music and now through cricket,” said Dr. Faisal Hashmi, Senior Director at Coca-Cola Pakistan & Afghanistan.
The eight-team ICC Champions Trophy returns after eight years, with Pakistan hosting for the first time since 1996. The ‘Maidaan Saaf’ campaign will ensure stadiums stay clean throughout the tournament.
