- England is proceeding without further squad changes ahead of their Pakistan tour.
England fast bowler Josh Hull has been officially ruled out of the upcoming Test tour to Pakistan due to a quad injury, as confirmed by the team management on Thursday.
Hull will be focusing on his recovery and no replacement will be named for the red-ball series, which is set to begin in Multan on October 7.
Hull sustained the injury during his Test debut against Sri Lanka at The Oval earlier this month, which also led to his withdrawal from the ongoing white-ball series against Australia.
Despite being selected for the third Test against Sri Lanka, Hull’s performance raised concerns; he took only two wickets in the second division of the County Championship, with an expensive bowling average of 182.50. He recorded match figures of 3-91, but England suffered an eight-wicket defeat, resulting in a 2-1 series loss to Sri Lanka.
As England prepares for the tour, they have opted not to make further changes to the squad. In their last encounter against Pakistan, England achieved a clean sweep, winning the series 3-0.
