The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has revealed its 16-member T20 squad for the upcoming series against the Netherlands and the Asia Cup 2025. The team will be led by wicketkeeper-batsman Litton Das.
The Bangladesh team is set to play a three-match T20 series against the Netherlands, which will be held on home soil from August 30 to September 3. Following this, the team will travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to compete in the Asia Cup, which is scheduled from September 9 to September 28.
In the Asia Cup, Bangladesh has been placed in Group B. The team will play its first match on September 11 against Hong Kong, followed by matches against Sri Lanka on September 13 and Afghanistan on September 16.
There are some notable changes in the squad. Wicketkeeper-batsman Qazi Nurul Hasan has been included in the T20 squad after a three-year hiatus, having last played a T20 match in the 2022 T20 World Cup.
The full squad includes Litton Das (Captain), Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain, Saif Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali, Shamim Hossain, Qazi Nurul Hasan, Mehidy Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Shariful Islam, and Saifuddin. The list of standby players includes Soumya Sarkar, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Tanvir Islam, and Hasan Mahmud.
The crucial responsibility of captaincy has been entrusted to Litton Das, a seasoned and reliable player. Expectations are high for the team to perform well under his leadership.
