New Rules Announced for Private Hajj Scheme 2027: Direct Payments to Operators Banned

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially launched bookings under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027 alongside strict new guidelines for prospective pilgrims. In a major policy shift aimed at enhancing transparency and preventing fraud, the government has strictly prohibited direct financial transactions with private Hajj operators.

Mandatory Online Booking and Payment via Official Platforms

For the Hajj 2027 season, every step of the registration process—including package selection, company assignment, and fee payment—must be processed exclusively through official government digital platforms:

  • Pak Hajj App (available on mobile devices)
  • Official Ministry Hajj Portal

Pilgrims will no longer pay private agents directly. Instead, all selections and payments must be completed under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs through these digital tools.

Warning Against Unauthorized Operators and Financial Fraud

Ministry officials issued a stern warning to all applicants regarding unauthorized agents and off-portal deals.

Official Advisory: Direct payments made to any private operator, third-party agent, or unauthorized individual will not be recognized by the government. Any applicant who makes payments outside the official Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal does so entirely at their own risk and responsibility.

Currently, 25 authorized private Hajj companies are fully registered and licensed with the Ministry. Only the verified packages offered by these 25 approved operators will be displayed and accessible on the Pak Hajj App and official web portal.

Registration Quota and Rising Demand

Demand for the 2027 pilgrimage remains extremely high:

  • Allocated Quota: A total of 71,696 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the Private Hajj Scheme in 2027.
  • Current Applicants: Over 105,000 applicants have already registered through the Pak Hajj App.

How to Apply Safely for Hajj 2027

To ensure your Hajj application is valid and your funds remain secure, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Pak Hajj App or visit the official Ministry of Religious Affairs Hajj Portal.
  2. Complete your registration and account verification.
  3. Browse packages offered strictly by the 25 verified and ministry-approved private Hajj companies.
  4. Complete all payment transactions directly within the official app or portal interface.
