ISLAMABAD: The government on Thursday increased the house rent and judicial allowances for both Supreme Court and high court judges.
According to a notification issued by the Law and Justice department after the approval of the acting president, the house rent for the Supreme Court judges has been increased from Rs68,000 to Rs0.350 million while and judicial allowances ffrom Rs0.428 million Rs1.168 million.

The federal government has also raised perks and privileges of the high court judges.
The house rent of high court judges has been increased from Rs65,000 to Rs0.35 million. Similarly, the judicial allowance of high court judges has been jacked up from Rs0.342 million to Rs1.90 million.
