ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported weather forecast for upcoming days, with the country set to experience huge fluctuations over the next several days.
A weather warning was issued for potential wind-dust storms, hailstorms and lightning, particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), upper and central Punjab, Islamabad and Kashmir from Saturday (today) until Monday morning.

Islamabad weather forecast
In the capital, the forecast for Saturday indicates partly cloudy weather with a likelihood of rain, windstorms and thunderstorms, including the occasional hail.
The maximum temperature is expected 36 degrees Celsius, accompanied by humidity levels around 32 per cent.
The current weather is expected to persist till Sunday, with sunny skies to greet the Islamadites from Monday onwards.
Weather in Punjab
In the country’s most populous province, Saturday will bring partly cloudy skies, with rain and thunderstorms expected in several districts; Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Layyah, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and Faisalabad.
Wind- and dust-storms are also likely in southern Punjab which may exacerbate the impact of the rainfall.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather
KP is forecasted to experience partly cloudy weather on Saturday, with rain and thunderstorms expected in districts such as Battagram, Buner, Bajaur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, and Swabi.
Heavy rainfall and hail is expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Mansehra and Abbottabad during this period. It may also lead to localised flooding and other weather-related hazards.
Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir: Rain, rain and more rain
Meanwhile, in Gilgit-Baltistan, cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorms is expected on Saturday. Heavy rainfall and hail are likely in certain areas, which can impact travel and outdoor activities.
Similarly, Kashmir is expected to experience cloudy conditions with rain and thunderstones, with the possibility of heavy rainfall and hail in some locations.
Sindh and Balochistan: Hot and dry
In contrast, Balochistan is forecasted to remain predominantly dry and hot, with strong winds expected across most districts. Maximum temperatures are projected to reach up to 47 degrees Celsius in Sibbi, while other areas like Nokkundi and Turbat will see temperatures ranging from 30 degrees Celcius to 42 degrees Celsius.
Sindh likewise will remain hot and dry, with strong winds expected over the weekend.

Residents are advised to be mindful of their surroundings, with loose structures including naked electric poles, trees, vehicles and solar panels posing a threat.
