ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed four terrorists including a high-profile target during an operation in the Kech district of Balochistan.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kech district on the night of November 12-13.
It said that in a gunfight during the operation, four terrorists, including a key commander, were killed.
The slain terrorist commander, a high-profile target, was long wanted to the security forces.
A cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the terrorists, the ISPR said adding that a clearance operation was under way in the area to eliminate any remaining threats.
Earlier, at least six terrorists were killed and three others injured during an encounter with security forces in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
