ISLAMABAD: Islamabad traffic police have announced a traffic plan for March 23 (Pakistan Day) for the convenience of the public
According to Islamabad Police, heavy vehicles will be banned from entering the capital between 12 PM and 3 PM. Additionally, Srinagar Highway will remain closed from 6 AM to 1 PM, spanning from Seventh Avenue to Korianwala Chowk, as per the traffic plan for Pakistan Day.
Commuters heading towards Bhara Kahu have been advised to use Seventh Avenue, Pak-China Road, Rawal Dam Chowk, and Club Road as alternative routes. Authorities have warned of potential traffic congestion on Srinagar Highway and Expressway due to the restrictions.
Nation to celebrate Pakistan Day tomorrow
For long-route travelers, police have suggested alternate routes. Traffic from Peshawar to Lahore should take the Motorway via Taxila and Tarnol Interchange to Fateh Jang. Heavy vehicles traveling from Lahore to Islamabad/Rawalpindi should use Chak Beli Road to Chakri Motorway. Travelers from Peshawar to Rawat should opt for Taxila Motorway, Chakri, Chak Beli Road, and Rawat. Those traveling from Lahore to Peshawar should follow Rawat, Chak Beli Road, Chakri, and Taxila Motorway.
Islamabad Traffic Police will be deployed at key locations to assist and guide citizens throughout the day.
