Track restored after derailing of Tezgam Express – HUM News


KARACHI: The up-track has been restored for rail traffic after the Tezgam Express, traveling from Karachi to Rawalpindi, met with an accident at Rohri Station early Tuesday morning.

According to railway sources, one of the train’s bogies derailed, prompting ongoing rescue operations.

The accident blocked the up-track, causing damage to the railway line. However, no casualties have been reported.

Due to the incident, the Bahauddin Zakariya Express has been halted at Begamaji Station, while the Shah Hussain Express, Green Line Express, and Fareed Express have also been stopped at different stations.

Pakistan Railways authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

However, after four hours of hectic work, the track has been restored and all the suspended rail traffic has resumed including the Tezgam Express to Rawalpindi.
