Three soldiers martyred, 19 Khawarij killed in KP operations: ISPR – HUM News


RAWALPINDI: Three soldiers were martyred and 19 terrorists of Fitna-Al-Khawarij were killed in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

According to the military’s media wing, security forces conducted three operations at different locations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 6-7 January.

During these operations, three brave sons of soil embraced Shahadat after fighting gallantly during the intense fire exchange, the ISPR statement said.

The fallen soldiers were identified as Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali, 38, resident of Ghizer district; Naik Muhammad Nazir, 37, resident of Skardu district; and Naik Muhammad Usman, 37, resident of Attock district.

The first of these three operations was carried out in Matani area of Peshawar district on reported presence of Khawarij. “This was an intelligence based operation during which own troops effectively engaged the khawarij location and resultantly, eight khawarij were sent to hell,” said ISPR.

Another intelligence based operation was conducted in general area Baizai, Mohmand district. In ensuing fire exchange, eight Khwarij were effectively engaged and neutralised by the security forces.

In third engagement in Karak district, security forces effectively engaged khwarij location and sent three khwarij to hell. The three soldiers embraced martyrdom in the same operation.

“Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” ISPR statement read.
