TANK/LAKKI MARWAT: Police have foiled an attack on City Police Station in Tank, carried out during late hours last night. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Spokesperson told media that last night, unknown terrorists attacked the City Police Station with small arms.
No casualties were reported in the incident. Search operation has been launched in the area, the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Syed Ashfaq Anwar said, adding that the Police are always ready to deal with all kinds of challenges.
He added that protection of life and property of the public will be ensured at all costs.
Another attack was also attempted by terrorists at Sarai Naurang Police Station in Lakki Marwat, late at night.
The police officials said that heavy exchange of fire was carried out from both sides. Eventually the attackers fled the scene after heavy retaliatory fire by the police. Sarai Naurang is located in a densely populated area.
