Six terrorists killed in Zhob operation: ISPR – HUM News


RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed six Khawariji terrorists in Zhob district, who were trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

“On night 22/23 January, movement of a group of khwarij, who were trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces in general area Sambaza, Zhob District. Own troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. Resultantly, Six Khwarij were sent to hell,” the ISPR statement read.

According to the military’s media wing, a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered.

ISPR said, “Pakistan has consistently been asking Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border. Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.”

It also reiterated the commitment of the security forces of Pakistan to secure its borders and eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.

Earlier, on Jan 17, ISPR reported that security forces killed five Khawarji terrorists, including their ring leader, during an intelligence based operation in Tirah, Khyber district.

According to the ISPR’s statement, the operation was carried out on reported presence of Khawarji terrorists in the area on Friday.

“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged khawarij location, as a result of which, five khawarij including Khawarji ring leader Abidullah [aka Turab], were sent to hell, while one khawarji was apprehended,” the statement read.

The military’s media wing further said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area against the security forces as well as killing of innocent civilians.

The ISPR said sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Khawarji found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
