RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed two India-backed terrorists in a firefight that took place in Duki district Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday, as New Delhi continues promoting terrorism in Pakistan.

Two of their associates were also arrested in an intelligence-based operation, which triggered a gunfight as the terrorists offered resistance.

According to the ISPR, security forces “effectively engaged the Indian-sponsored terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, two Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell, while two terrorists were apprehended.”

The dead terrorists were involved in numerous acts of terrorism, from whose possession weapons, ammunition and explosives had also been seized.

“A sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice,” the statement read.

Reacting to the news, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their timely and effective action to eliminate the members of “Fitna al-Hindustan” – the name given to the Indian-sponsored terrorists.

Pakistan has witnessed an alarming rise in terrorism after the PTI government led by now incarcerated Imran Khan allowed the Taliban to resettle in the country.

Earlier in the day, an IED device explosion claimed the lives to two soldiers in the Wanda Simo area of Lakki Marwat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On Saturday, thirteen security personnel embraced martyrdom while three innocent civilians, including two children and a woman were severely injured in a suicide attack in North Waziristan.
