ISLAMABAD: A group of armed robbers looted Rs 5.5 million from a petrol pump in Sector I-8 and fled the scene on motorcycles, police sources told media.
According to police, three suspects riding motorcycles without number plates approached the petrol pump and held up the manager at gunpoint. The robbers snatched a cash bag containing Rs 5.5 million before escaping toward an unknown location.
Witnesses described the suspects as men between 25 and 30 years old. Police have registered a case at Police Station I-9 and launched an investigation.
Law enforcement officials said CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed, and search operations have been initiated to trace the culprits.
Police urged the public to report any information that could assist in identifying the suspects.
