RY KHAN: Heavy rain last night has badly disrupted life in Rahim Yar Khan while two children have been injured in a roof collapse incident.
Low-lying areas were flooded, and water accumulated on streets and roads. Underpasses also got filled with rainwater, causing traffic disruptions.
Flooding in Gilgit-Baltistan causes widespread damage
Several areas faced power outages, making things difficult for residents. The district administration began drainage work using heavy machinery.
In Gulshan Iqbal, two children were injured when a house wall collapsed. Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the children to the hospital.
Meanwhile, a fire broke out at a flour mill but was brought under control after some effort by rescue teams. No loss of life was reported.
District authorities advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and follow safety precautions during the rain.
