LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid tribute to the spirit of martyrdom of Pakistan’s first martyred female pilot Marium Mukhtiar.
CM Maryam said, “Marium Mukhtiar proved that daughters are not less than anyone in the efforts to build and defend the homeland.” She added that “Marium Mukhtiar set an eternal example of sacrifice by saving the plane from falling on the population”.
“Daughters like Martyr Marium Mukhtiar are the pride of every nation,” the chief minister said.
Women are fully expressing their capabilities by serving alongside men in every institution, including the army, CM Maryam said, adding, “Every daughter of the nation is the pride of Pakistan”.
“Martyr Marium Mukhtiar did something for the beloved homeland that is rarely seen,” the chief minister said.
