The arrests were made in connection with a case registered on multiple charges.

Both women have been shifted to the Women Police Station.

Her detention comes after she led a protest in Rawalpindi on Friday to show solidarity with Palestine and condemn the Gaza conflict.

A police official said their legal team is currently reviewing whether to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the PTI leader.

PTI has not issued an official statement on the incident yet.

This comes at a time when crackdowns on PTI workers have intensified in recent days, especially as the party appears to be regaining political activity.
