PTI gets permission for Lahore rally with string of conditions – HUM News


LAHORE: The Lahore district administration has granted permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a rally on Ring Road in Kahna near Cattle Market.

The Lahore High Court had ordered the deputy commissioner to decide on the application by 5pm today to allow PTI to hold the rally.

The district administration granted the PTI permission for the rally on Ring Road in Kahna. It should be noted that earlier reports said the rally had been allowed to be held at Jalo Park.

The district administration has approved the rally with 43 terms and conditions, and the deputy commissioner has issued an official notification for the event.

According to the notification, PTI’s rally will take place on September 21 from 3pm to 6pm.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has been asked to tender apology over the harsh language he uttered during the party’s September 8 rally in Islamabad.

The notification said that organisers will be responsible for the security of the rally.

On the other hand, PTI leader Ishtiaq A Khan said they cannot assure that Ali Amin Gandapur will apologize.

Meanwhile, opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Ahmed Khan Bhachar held a meeting with Lahore deputy commissioner. Sources said that the opposition leader suggested to ending the rally by 11pm.
