PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has once again deployed state resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for its protest rally announced for upcoming Sunday (November 24).
PTI has announced a rally towards the capital, and a sit-in in Islamabad until their demands are met – which include repeal of the 26th constitutional amendment and the release of their political prisoners including former PTI chairman Imran Khan.
According to PTI sources, a monitoring cell has been established by the party in the conference room of Rescue 1122 Headquarters in Peshawar, and 25 social media workers of PTI are working in the monitoring cell.
The cell is set up to monitor preparations for the Sunday’s protest rally and the social media campaign surrounding it. According to sources, three rooms have also been allotted to these workers in the residential building of Rescue 1122 services.
The PTI social media team has been given access to the electronic gadgets of the Rescue 1122 services. The monitoring of PTI’s parliamentary members, MPAs and MNAs, will be done from these headquarters, sources said.
