President Zardari leaves for China tomorrow – HUM News


ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari will leave for a four-day official visit to China tomorrow, during which he is expected to hold key meetings with the Chinese leadership, including President Xi Jinping.

An advance team for the visit has already started departing.

According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, President Zardari will pay a state visit to China from February 4-8 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

President Zardari will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, First Lady Asifa Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

According to sources, President Zardari will meet his Chinese counterpart and other senior officials to discuss key bilateral matters, including the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), regional and global security, and economic cooperation.

The president will also attend the Shanghai World Expo on February 5, where he is expected to engage with business leaders and investors to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
