PM announces Rs 20 billion 8070 Ramazan Package – HUM News


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched the 8070 Ramazan Relief Package 2025, a Rs20 billion to support low-income families across Pakistan ahead of Ramazan.

Under the programme, four million eligible families will be provided with Rs10,000 cash assistance and subsidies on essential food items through a digital distribution system, replacing long queues previously seen at Utility Stores.

The 8070 Ramazan Relief Package includes two main components:

Cash Assistance: Eligible families will receive Rs10,000 in direct financial aid to help manage household expenses during Ramazan.

Ration Subsidy: Discounts will be offered on flour, sugar, pulses, ghee, and rice to ease the financial burden on struggling households.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To qualify for the 8070 Ramazan Relief Package, applicants must:

Be registered under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) or the Ehsaas Programme.

Not be receiving financial aid from any other government relief program.

Possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).

HOW TO APPLY?

Eligible individuals can apply through the official PSER portal by entering their CNIC and mobile number and completing the registration form. Alternatively, applicants can send their CNIC number via SMS to 8070 to check eligibility and receive further instructions.

DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS

To ensure smooth fund distribution, the government has introduced multiple channels:

Bank Transfers: Direct transfers to accounts in HBL, UBL, and Bank Alfalah.

Mobile Wallets: Beneficiaries can access funds via Easypaisa and JazzCash.

Ehsaas Program Centers: Those without bank accounts can collect their aid from designated centers.

Union Council Offices: Final verification and fund collection are available at local government offices.

The government has urged eligible families to register as soon as possible to avoid delays in receiving assistance. Early enrollment is encouraged to ensure timely disbursement of funds.
