ISLAMABAD: As cricket fans eagerly await the high-voltage Pakistan vs India clash in Dubai, one pressing question remains—will rain disrupt the match?
With Pakistan set to play their ‘home’ game against arch-rivals India, concerns over weather conditions are growing as the UAE has experienced cloudy skies and sporadic rain this week.
According to the UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology, Dubai is expected to have fair to partly cloudy skies, with a chance of light rain during the Pakistan vs India match in some northern areas on Sunday night and Monday morning. The daytime temperature will be around 33°C, while it will drop to 20°C at night.
ICC PLAYING CONDITIONS
As per the International Cricket Council (ICC) regulations for the Champions Trophy 2025, there will be no reserve days for group-stage matches. However, reserve days are allocated for the semifinals and final. If a knockout match is incomplete on the scheduled day, it will continue the next day.
TICKETS SOLD OUT IN MINUTES
As expected, tickets for the Pakistan vs India match were sold out within an hour of their release. When additional tickets went online, they were also sold within minutes.
India, playing all their Group A matches in Dubai, has already set up camp. Pakistan’s squad arrived from Karachi on Thursday, preparing for their much-anticipated encounter.
Dubai will also host India’s remaining group-stage fixture against New Zealand on March 2, the first semifinal on March 4, and the final on March 9—if India qualifies.
If India fails to reach the final, Lahore will host both the second semifinal and the title decider.
