ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir on Monday said Pakistan had proved itself as a “net regional stabilizer”, as he rejected the Indian claims about external support to the country in the recent war.
“The Indian statements reflect the traditional hesitance to accept Pakistan’s success” in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, said the army chief in his address to the officer who completed the National Security and War Course at the National Defence University.
Noting the fact that India failed to achieve the military goals in Operation Sindoor, the field marshal said this failure represented a lack of long-term strategic understanding.
He said the claims made external support to Pakistan were devoid of facts, as India was reluctant to accept Pakistan’s success based upon strategy and indigenous capabilities.
