ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has exposed Indian propaganda falsely claiming that Pakistan had agreed to deploy troops in Gaza and recognise Israel.
The ministry said that Indian media once again resorted to misinformation, with “First Post” publishing a fabricated story alleging that Pakistan’s military leadership had signed an agreement with the CIA and Mossad to send 20,000 Pakistani soldiers to Gaza.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar dismissed the report, saying Pakistan has neither recognised Israel nor held any talks regarding troop deployment.
He added that neither the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) nor the Foreign Office had ever announced or endorsed any such military mission in Gaza.
Tarar said that “First Post” violated journalistic ethics by quoting a private newspaper out of context, adding that the so-called “intelligence leaks” and claims cited in the Indian report were “baseless and misleading.”
He further noted that “First Post” relied on outlets like “CNN-News18”, which have a record of publishing unverified information.
“Pakistan’s stance on the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination remains clear and principled,” the minister said, adding that “the Modi-backed Indian media has stooped to laughable levels of propaganda.”
