KARACHI: Karachi’s civic authorities have introduced a “No Helmet, No Entry” policy on I.I. Chundrigar Road to improve traffic discipline.

Delineators are also being installed to regulate traffic flow. Thousands of motorcycles use this road daily, but many riders violate traffic rules, causing frequent accidents.

Initially, the helmet rule will be enforced on I.I. Chundrigar Road and later expanded to other major roads.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab said the measure aims to reduce fatal accidents in the city, adding that wearing helmets would eventually be made mandatory for motorcyclists on all main roads in Karachi.
