KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Karachi has extended the remand of prime suspect Armaghan and co-accused Shiraz in the murder case of Mustafa Amir.
The police produced the accused before the ATC on Saturday after the expiry of the four-day physical remand of the two accused.
His father, Kamran Qureshi, was present in court and attempted to meet his son, but police officials denied him access.
The police asked for a 14-day extension in remand of the two suspects adopting the stance that they have to obtain statements of two employees of Armaghan and also have to conduct forensics in the weapons and lap top obtained from Armaghan’s house.
During the hearing, Armaghan collapsed and complained that he is not being given anything to eat. The Prosecutor General told the court that a medical of the suspect has been performed and he is perfectly fit.

The defense lawyer of Shiraz told the court, that his client has nothing to do with the case. Lady police raided the house of Shiraz and took his sister’s lap top
The Court after hearing both sides extended the physical remand of both the suspects and ordered medical exam of both the accused.
ARMAGHAN’ S FATHER CLAIMS
Meanwhile, Kamran Asghar Qureshi, the father of prime suspect Armaghan Qureshi, has claimed that his son is being framed and he has evidence to back up his claim but no one is listening to him.
Talking on a private TV channel show, he said,“I want to be the chief investigation officer of my own child. I have plenty of evidence. I am a law graduate and hold a firearm licence,” he stated.
“I have no shortage of money, and I trust no one”, he added
When questioned about his son’s alleged drug use, Qureshi admitted awareness but defended his parenting.
“Yes, I knew about his drug habits, but he is a young man, and I never stopped him. You shouldn’t scold children over 18.”
